DESCRIPTION:Handel’s oratorio Messiah is possibly the best-known choral w
 ork in the world\, regularly performed in concert halls and theatres world
 -wide as well as featuring in a huge number of films and TV series. It is 
 full of wonderful and memorable tunes\, with the famous 'Hallelujah' choru
 s only one of many powerful choruses\, which are balanced with dramatic an
 d beautiful solos. While the English text is drawn from the Old and New Te
 staments\, its themes of suffering\, hope and redemption are universal\, a
 nd Messiah’s dramatic theatricality and range of emotional expression ma
 ke it a riveting concert experience.\n\nBexhill Choral Society will be acc
 ompanied by the Sussex Concert Orchestra conducted by Kenneth Roberts\, an
